The Press Council of Azerbaijan publicized a collection of recommendations titled How journalists should conduct during the mass actions with some changes, the Press Counci announced.
The last meeting of the Press Council discussed the recommendations. To make the document fully of recommendation character, the previous variants were fully re-developed and some ideas were removed from the text, while the new ones were added in it. After inclusion of changes the Recommendations were adopted.
The recommendations developed on the base of experience of leading world countries is comprised of 12 items. The key objective of the document is shape a responsible approach to the self security of journalists implementing their service duties during the mass actions. The recommendations put forward include the participation of journalists in mass actions in special clothes provided by the Press Council, concentration only on the service duties, contact with the Monitoring Group of the Press Council during the emergencies, rules of conduct in case of pressures during the implementation of the service duties.
