The Azerbaijan Association of Judges and the Association of the specilaised judges of Azerbaijan prepared an action plan on removal of shortcomings in the activities of judges. The plan has been discussed today at the roundtable held by the organizations, Trend reports.
The chairman of the Azerbaijan Judges Association Aladdin Djafarov informed the participants of the importance of the presidential decree from 19 January 2006 on improvement the countrys judicial system.
Particiapnts exchanged views on the deecree. It has been noted, the information spread by media on partiality and red tape of judges requires reevaluation of the activities of judges. They also put forward a number of proposals on resolving the problems.
Thee were also opinions on establishing regional courts. It has been noted it would facilitate improvement of the socio-economic state of the population in the regions and solve some problems.
