On Thursday the delegation of AFFA led by Ramiz Mirzayev, the President of the Association, left for Brussels to discuss the calendar of the selection tournament of Europe-2008 in the group A.
During the working meeting the representatives of the Association will play with their colleagues from Portugal, Serbia, Poland, Finland, Belgium, Armenia and Kazakhstan to determine the calendar of the forthcoming qualification. In particular, coach of the national team Shahin Diniyev desires to start the qualification with single combat in Finland in autumn and host Kazakhs in Baku. Then the team plans to play in Belgium and have a match with Armenia in the neutral country.
It should be mentioned that if the sides are not be able to achieve agreement, UEFA will draw up the calendar.
