The ombudsman of Azerbaijan Elmira Suleymanova will take part in the international workshop on the subject В"Religion and Human Rights to be held from 22 to 23 February in Kazan, the ombudsmans office told Trend.
During the event Suleymanova will also speak on the issue of unacceptability of the anti-Islamic cartoons, printed by the western media, contradicting to the ethical norms and social values. Suleymanova will note especially that such kind of publications cause irreparable damage to religious inter-relations.
It should be noted, among others participation of the acting Council of Europe Commissar on Human Rights Alvaro Hil-Robles at the workshop is planned.
