The collective of the Azerbaijan publishing house ceased all ties with Yeni Fikir newspaper in protest to publishing of offensive article about Prophet Jesus, the Media Council told Trend.
The publishing house told the Media Council that the article offending religions feelings of bilievers, which was published in the11 Februatry 2006 issue 04 (106) of Yeni Fikir newspaper, angered the collctive of the publishing house.
The newspaper also violated the agreement concluded with the publishing house. Though there is the agreement on publishing of the newspaper at the Azerbaijan publishing house, the issue 04 (106) was published at other publishing house. Nevertheless, it was indicated on the last page of the issue that the issue was published at Azerbaijan.
The collective of the publishing house expressed protest against this act and ceased the cooperation for violation of the agreement.
