Granting journalists with honored titles and awards was suspended from 27 to 28 February, the Azerbaijani Media Council told Trend.
Awarding ceremony will be held on the 130th anniversary of the national media at the International Press Center on 28 February at 15.00pm. The Media Council said that the body keeps in touch with the rewarded journalists to organize the event. Participation of these journalists in the ceremony is necessary.
It should be mentioned that 133 journalists were rewarded with orders and honored titles at the Presidents decree on the 130th anniversary of the national Azerbaijani media in 2005. One of them was rewarded with Glory order, 64 - Progress medal. 27 journalists got title Honored Figure of Culture, 37 - Honored Journalist, while 4 were granted with presidential scholarchip.
