The Azerbaijan ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova has submitted today the 2005 final report В"On ensuring human rights and freedoms, the state of affairs in respect to their protection in Azerbaijan to the President of Azerbaijan and the Parliament, the ombudsmans office told Trend.
Under the countrys Constitution this report has been also submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers, the Constitutional and Supreme Courts and the Prosecutor Generals office. After Milli Mejis hearings of the report at the Parliaments spring session it will be presented to the wide public through media.
The report reflects the ombudsmans activities in protection of human rights and freedoms, results of the legal awareness-raising and scientific-analytical activities, relations of the ombudsman with the public, media and international institutions, proposals on introducing changes into the legislation and other issues.
