Veterinary Service receives 2.4m AZN within struggle with bird flu
The State Veterinary Service received 2.4m AZN at the decision of the State Commission on prevention of bird flu in Azerbaijan and coordination of joint activities of all bodies in the sphere, Trend reports quoting Emin Shahbazov, the deputy head of the Veterinary Service.
The decision was made at the meeting of the State Commission, held on 28 February.
According to Shahbazov, the funds will be spent on purchase of disinfectants, different protective agents, devices for disinfection.
Touching upon revealing of the virus at the Gilyazi poultry factory, located in the Khizi region, Shahbazov stressed that they announced quarantine there and took appropriate measures. The chief veterinarian of the Khizi region and the head of the expedition against epizootic are in the region.
