AFFA proposed to the Turkish Football Federation to hold the home matches of the national team in the selection tournament of the European-2008 championship in Baku, Trend reports referring to the message sent to Khaluk Alusoy, the President of the Turkish Football Federation, by his Azerbaijani counterpart Ramiz Mirzayev.
It should be mentioned FIFA banned the organization of the 6 home matches of the Europe-2008 by bronze medalists of the mundial-2008 in their country due to the disorders after the match of the world championship Turkey-Switzerland. At present besides appeal against the decision by FIFA, Turks consider the possibility of organization of their matches in German.
The same time in his message Mirzayev noted that AFFA was ready to help the Turkish team in holding of the matches in Baku, as Turkey allowed Azerbaijan to organize its home matches of the selection tournament Europe-96 in Trabzon.
