As of 8 March no case of bird flu has been registered in the villages of Sarvan and Dayikend of the Salyan District, the Azerbaijani Health Ministry told Trend.
Health condition of 6 of 8 people hospitalized before has substantially improved and they were checked out of the hospital.
Though the medical treatment conducted with the assistance of the World Health Organization (WHO), a resident of Sarvan village of Salyan, Gunel Gasimova, passed away on 8 March.
At the request of the Health Ministry to the WHO for the consultative assistance, two experts were dispatched to Azerbaijan where they will remain till the end of March.
Besides, the analyses made for research and reveal of bird flu virus are being prepared for further delivery to London.
