The 2nd congress of world Azerbaijanis will make a contribution in the development of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, where 60,000 Azerbaijanis live, Trend reports referring to Nasraddin Muhammadiyev, the Director of the Uzbek International Culture Center, also the head of the group of representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora.
According to Muhammadiyev, Azerbaijanis take special place among 133 peoples and nationalities populated in Uzbekistan. Uzbeks and Azerbaijanis are close by language and religion.
The holidays of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are always marked jointly, the Director of the Center underlined. He said that concert dedicated to Novruz would be held in the center of Tashkent on 21 March with the participation of Azerbaijani ensemble Gardashlig.
