The Azerbaijani Education Minister, Misir Mardanov speaks against the destruction of libraries, the Minister told Trend.
Mentioning the important role the libraries have in the enlightment of society, the minister said the problem of providing the libraries with latin alphabet books is completely solved. The ministry currently works on the special state program of modernization of the school libraries.
The program implies strengthening of the material-technical base of the school libraries, application of the modern informational technologies in libraries and training of the qualified personnel. The project will soon be submitted for review to the government and relevant bodies. It is expected to be adopted in the coming months. The program will be financed by the State.
