Dutch AA Services, a company engaged in the garbage recycling by the BP Azerbaijan order, was fined on $200,000. The company has paid the fine, the Ecology and Natural Resources minister, Huseyn Bagirov told Trend.
AA Services was engaged in the recycling of the discharged water. The company has received the waters from BP and for small charge passed them over to the Bakkanalizasiya, which in its turn simply dumped the waters in the Baku city sewage systems. From sewage channels it was flowing directly into Caspian Sea, the minister said.
Moreover, Caspian pollution is increased by the dumps from industrial facilities in the city, he added. Besides, part of the polluting elements comes from Kura River from Georgia and Armenia.
