The delegation of the Legal Council is on the working visit in Strasburg, Javid Huseynov, the head of the administration of the Legal Council, told Trend.
The delegation is headed by Azer Jafarov, the chief of the organizational and analytical department of the Azeri Ministry of Justice and also the member of ministrys collegium. The delegation participated at the 7th meeting of Azerbaijan-Council of Europe Working Group on assessment of independence, elections, appointment and assessment of activities of Azerbaijani courts, as well as the 4th meeting of Working Group of Joint Commission on initial and long-term training of courts.
The meetings focused on assessment of court activities, code of conduct, involvement of courts in administrative responsibilities, priorities of increasing the effectiveness of courts, project of initial and long-term training of courts, structure of Law Academy in Azerbaijan, etc.
