Azeri Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources revealed fact of illegal felling of trees

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources is continuing fighting with the illegal felling of trees. Such facts have been revealed in the Nasimi district of Baku city, Trend report quoting the press-service of the same ministry. In result of construction work realized by unknown persons, 72 trees were felled. A letter was sent to the executive powers of Baku city and Nasimi district and it was demanded that the construction work should be stopped, the territory should be released from the building materials and the previous condition of the district should be restored.

At the same time, a letter-appeal was forwarded to the Baku Head Police Department and the Police Department of Nasimi district. In the letter, it is stated that the construction should be stopped and the persons felling the trees should be found for paying the compensation for damage to the environment.

The ecological damage costs AZN 5306,40. If the offenders are found, a claim will be raised against them and a written appeal will be forwarded to the police department of the district.
