Society Materials 29 June 2006 14:14 (UTC +04:00)

Teaching and evaluation of knowledge in the new Tourism Institute will be based on credit system, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.

The credit systems will be based on so-called В"Bologna principleВ" that suggests tailoring education process to international standards. The credit system creates favorable conditions

for apt and talented students and promotes elimination of corruption in education, the ministry officials suggest.

There will be three faculties at the said Institute: В"Tourism and social-cultural servicesВ", В"Tourist managementВ" and В"Tourist marketingВ". New four-storey building is allocated for the institute. Lecturers will be trained by Austrian experts.

The said Institute was established by decision of Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan dated February 13, 2006; the students admission limit for the institute was defined in 200 people (including 105 students on paid basis).
