The session of European Azerbaijanis Congress takes place in October 2006, Trend reports quoting Nazim Ibrahimov, chairman of the State Committee for work with Azerbaijanis residing abroad.
Among this years large events he stated the second congress of worlds Azerbaijanis, Forum of Azeri intelligentsia in Turkey, joint conference of Azeri and Turkish diaspora, declaration between diasporas and so on.
The embassies will be involved in the future congress alongside journalists of Azeri descent. В"During the event, we will determine our further steps. We would like to involve Azerbaijanis working in different spheres. The work is also performed to protect interests of Azerbaijanis living in different countries. At the moment it is necessary to raise the whole diaspora in their countriesВ", h said.
