On July 5, during the preparatory meeting of the court on the case of the former senior official of the Head Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan Haji Mammadov and his band, the state accuser Abdulla Yusifov asked tha court to ensure the requests of advocates. The preparatory meeting is held in the Heinous Crimes Court of Azerbaijan under the chairmanship of judge Ali Seyfaliyev, Trend reports
The request was made by Adil Ismayilov, who is the advocate of Zakir Nasirov, the former chief of the Head Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan. The request was linked with the involvement of prosecutor-general Zakir Garalov and chief of Baku Police Department Maharram Aliyev in the person of witnesses. However, the state accuser considers that there is not need to involve Zakir Garalov.
The opinion of Maharram Aliyev will depend on evidences.
The meeting will continue on July 6 where it will be announced whether it takes open or close character.
