In fall 2006, the tender for opening new regional TV channels will be announced, Trend reports quoting Nushiravan Maherramli, Chairman of National TV and Radio Council.
Maherramli said opening new TV channels in regions is expected. But before the issue with of TV channels with expired Рћlicense shall be decided. Only then, the question of new TV channels opening will be considered. В"We think of opening new regional channels. For this purpose, we will announce a tender and each businessman can take part and purchase a frequency. We will discuss these issues at the next sessions of the council, probably in autumnВ", Maherramli said.
Speaking of law violation in broadcasting, Maherramli said the situation in this sphere is normal. В"TV channels do not break the advertisement law anymore. In case we reveal some other misconducts, we will handle themВ", Chairman concluded.
