The religious communities functioning in Azerbaijan are dissatisfied wit the process of their registration and the issue of ensuring the premises for holding religious devotions, the representatives of various religious communities functioning in Azerbaijan told at the forum organized by the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations to study their problems, Trendreports.
The State Committee is going to carefully study all problems and difficulties of the religious communities, and prepare a pack of proposals and submit it to the consideration of the government, told executor of authorities of the chairman the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan Elchin Askerov. He appeared with an initiative to hold such meetings regularly to closely get familiar with the problems of the religious communities.
During the meeting, the representatives of the religious communities put forward several proposals which also included appeals to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, as well as State Committee for Real Estate for allocating mosque or other premises for religious devotions, opening theologic department in State Pedagogical University, founding Youth Forum, etc. Elchin Askerov promised to assist in resolving the problems of religious communities and submit their problems to the government.
