Damage from fires in Azerbaijan's territories occupied by Armenia exceeded AZN 1.3 mln

As a result of the observations carried out by the specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, it came out that over recent days, Armenians have burnt the territory of Boyakhmadli village of Agdam district and Gapanli and Seysulan villages of Tartar district. All these facts have been taken into video and photo, Trend reports quoting the press-service of the same ministry.

It became clear that as a result of fires in Gapanli and Seysulan villages, the flora and fauna in more than 500 ha territory were destroyed. In opinion of specialists, if urgent measures arent taken to prevent the fires, it may cause ecological change in result of pollution of atmosphere and in its turn, it will lead to the full destruction of several types of flora and fauna.

The fired territory in Boyakhmadli village has exceeded 600 ha, where several types of trees and animals have been massively destroyed.

The amount of the damage is defined by the specialists at more than AZN 13 thousand for pollution of atmosphere in Tartar district, for flora AZN 55 th., and for fertile land plots AZN 550 th. In result of the fires, the environment of Tartar has sustained damage in amount of AZN 618 th.

In Agdam district, the amount of the damage for atmosphere pollution was about AZN 16 th., flora AZN 66 th., and fertile land plots AZN 660 th. The gross damage inflicted to Agdam is reported at about AZN 750 th.

For this period, the gross damages to the environment amount to AZN 1.374 mln.
