On July 29, entrance examinations for Group I entrants for 2006/07 academic year are held. Officials of the State Commission for Students Admission told Trend the examinations are held on 127 specialties for 17 governmental and 7 private universities of Azerbaijan.
That day examinations are taking 29,587 entrants (28,144 and 1,443 in Baku and Nakhchivan, respectively). 52 buildings in Baku and 3 in Nakhchivan have been allotted for the exams. The examinations are controlled by 2,144 teachers of Baku, Sumgayit and Nakhchivan.
