On August 10, a confrontation of the former senior official of the Head Investigation Department of Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov with the victims was held in the court. The court process on the criminal cases of Mammadov and the criminal band led by him is chaired in the Heinous Crimes Court under the chairmanship of the judge Ali Seyfaliyev, Trend reports.
The confrontation was attended by the members of the families of Mehman Samadov, Novruz Ismayilov and Fatulla Huseyinov who were killed by the band of Mammadov, as well as the members of the families of Ismayil Majidov and Ogtay Babayev who were kidnapped by the same band.
During the confrontation, a conflict emerged between defendants and victims. F.Huseyinovs son Tahir Huseyinov told the court that he doesnt believe that Mammadov is the requester for the assassination of his father. He said that Mammadov played the role of killer in this crime.
Then, Huseyinov required that Mammadov should reveal the name of the requester for his fathers assassination. Mammadov stressed that he himself ordered the members of the band to kill F.Huseyinov due to the financial disputes. There is no other requester, Mammadov told.
