The match for the rank of the world champion on chess between Azerbaijani grand master Teymur Rajabov and Indian grand master Vishvanat Anand held within the framework of the traditional chess festival ended in a draw.
On the second day of the games, the Indian grand master gained the victory over the competitor in the third part (general score 2:2), and the sides ended the next part in a draw. In the near two days, the sportsmen will hold four more matches, in result of which the winner of the meeting will be defined.
On the first day, Rajabov defeated Anand, ending one more game in a draw.
