Azerbaijan`s Culture and Tourism Ministry is developing an international tourist route between Azerbaijan and Turkey, a source in the Culture and Tourism Minister told Trend today.
The route called Glorious and Triumphal Historical Way of the Ancestors is devoted to the history of friendship of the two nations. A special working group on working put and implementation of the project consisting of representatives of the Defense Ministries, National Academies of Sciences of the two countries have been built up within the Culture and Tourism Ministries of the two countries. The project is linked with the history of the advance of the Caucasus Islamic Army under the command of Nuru Pasha with the mission to free Azerbaijanis from the Armenian aggression in 1918. The aim of the project aimed at the youth is to bring up the youth of the two countries in the spirit of patriotism and belonging to the unite history and culture of the two nations.
The route will pass the places where the historical event happened, and encompass a number of Azerbaijani districts Baku, Shamakhy, Aghsu, Goychay, Ganja, Nakhchivan, Kars, Erzurum, Sivas. The map of the historical events and the advertisement of the information about the tour, as well as models of tents for the participants of the tour have already been prepared.
