Chief of Presidential Administration's Social Department: Azerbaijani TV and Broadcasting Companies Cannot Be Sold to or Rented by Foreign Companies

Azerbaijan has provided all the international broadcasting companies broadcasting in the country with frequencies, and is ready to give these possibilities in the future, Ali Hassanov, Chief of the Social Department of the Presidential Administration told today, Trend reports.

According to him, the Government sells its frequencies both to local and foreign entrepreneurs. At the same time, the licenses prices granting to local organizations are in 5.000 times cheaper than to foreign ones. The license for local companies costs 3 m. manats per year and the license for foreign ones $100.000 per year.

Therefore, any TV or broadcasting company has received the frequency to develop the national resources, and it cannot be sold to or rented by foreign companies, pointed out Mr. Hassanov.
