On October 20, during the court session on the criminal cases of the former senior official of the Head Investigation Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov and the criminal gang headed by him, the persons who followed the Director of the Leather Processing Factory to kidnap him were questioned. The court session on the cases of Mammadov and his gang comprising of 25 persons, is held in the Court of Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan under the Chair of Judge Ali Seyfaliyev, Trend reports.
According to the accusations against Mehman Hasanov, he had to follow the director of the Leather Processing Factory, Yanuhk Iliyev. According to the plan, following Iliyev, Hasanov had to specify his daily route to kidnap him. But according to the order of the former Chief of the Head Investigation Department Zakir Nasirov, Mammadov did not kidnap Iliyev.
In addition, Hasanov is accused of illegally keeping drugs and arms. He partially accepted the accusations. Thereafter, accused Novruz Nuriyev was questioned. He is accused of killing the inhabitant of Baku city Rana Nasibova, as well as illegally keeping drugs and arms. Although during the preliminary investigation Nuriyev confessed killing Nasibova, he abandoned this. He stressed he got familiarized with Nasibova through announcement. After certain period, she borrowed $1200 from Nuriyev for his job placement. After several days, Nuriyev heard that Nasibova was killed.
