Charity Action Held in Aberdeen

Organized by the Anglo-Azerbaijani Society in co-operation with the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad and Azerbaijani Embassy in London, a charity action is held in Aberdeen, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Embassy in London.

The event includes the performance of the outstanding Azerbaijani performer Emilya Mammadova. In addition, the event is attended by the head of the administration of Aberdeen, representatives of government, diaspora organizations and student organizations of Great Britain, Sweden and Norway, British business

and financial institutions, etc.

The Chairman of Anglo-Azerbaijani Society Lord Frazer, the Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad Nazim Ibrahimov and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Great Britain Rafael Ibrahimov also participate in the event.

The event was sponsored by such organizations as Р•urasia Energy, Amec and Azerbaijan International Bank.

Created in 1997, Anglo-Azerbaijani Society annually holds charitable actions. Only in 2006, the collected finances amounted to $50.000.
