On 7 December, during the court session on the criminal cases of the former senior official of the Head Investigation Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov and the criminal gang headed by him, Judge Ali Seyfaliyev announced a 5-day break from the court proceedings.
The court session on the cases of Mammadov and his gang comprising of 25 persons, is held in the Court of Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan under the Chair of Judge Ali Seyfaliyev, Trend reports.
At the beginning of the court session, the defendant of the former Chief of the Head Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry, Zakir Nasirov informed the Judge that he had not prepared his speech and asked for time out. Additionally, the prosecutor made the same appeal. Taking this into consideration, Ali Seyfaliyev announced a 5-day court break.
The court session will continue on 12 December, after which time the Judge will confirm the date when the sentence will be passed.
