The Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Problems of Families, Women and Children, Hijran Huseynova, informed Trend that presently work is being carried to realize the program for transferring the children from the orphanages to families.
According to her, presently seminars are held and enlightenment work is carried out to present the people with the existence of this project. Several people think that after the implementation of this project, the orphanages and boarding schools will be closed and their employees will remain without job. It is not so. We intend to create resource centers instead of the orphanages. This model has widely spread in Europe and worldwide, she said.
Huseynova said that it is not intended to apply the experience of any concrete countries in this process, but study the best model and agree it with national traditions of Azerbaijan.
