The Head of the Baku Office of the Congress of World Azerbaijanis (CWA), Ali Nijad, informed Trend that he has retired. He said that the activities of CWA over South Azerbaijan is unsatisfactory, and therefore, he retired. According to him, CWA does not carry out activities over South Azerbaijan and does not allocate finances to complete preparing the report regarding events in South Azerbaijan.
In addition, Nijat said that the activities of the CWA over North Azerbaijan, Khojali genocide, and activities of the Diaspora organization is satisfactory.
CWA was created in 1997 in USA. The organization fights mainly for the independence of South Azerbaijan.
