Human Rights in Azerbaijan Legislation: Reality and Perspectives Conference Held in Baku

A Conference named Human Rights in Azerbaijan Legislation: Realities and Perspectives, which was organized by the Permanent Commission for Human Rights of the Milli Majlis has been held in Baku, Trend reports.

During the Conference, official representatives of different Ministries and Agencies of the Country, engaged in human rights, marked the availability of unification of the national legislation on human rights with international rights and principles. Rabiyat Aslanova, the Chairperson of the Permanent Commission of the Milli Majlis, said that deprivation of household in the country was one of the most serious violations of the civil rights. According to her, over 1 mln. Azerbaijani citizens are still remaining without their homes.

Participants of the Conference emphasized the importance of the instructing the citizens about their rights, increase the level of the activity of the state bodies in the sphere of human rights, as well as observing the Constitution of the Country as the basis of all the rights.
