The Consular of Azerbaijan to Spain, Nijat Sadigov, exclusively informed Trend that initiated by the Azerbaijan Embassy in Spain, an event dedicated to the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis and New Year took place in Madrid.
According to the diplomat, the event was attended by nearly 100 Azerbaijanis residing in Spain, as well as outstanding political figures and business people of Spain friends of Azerbaijan. Opening the event, the Azerbaijan Ambassador to Spain, Mammad Aliyev, delivered the congratulations of the Azerbaijan President, Ilham Aliyev, to the Azerbaijanis. National music was heard. The diplomat said that according to the official information, 900-1,000 Azerbaijanis reside in Spain.
