The competition announced for ANS TV frequency and ANS-CM radio is complete, Trend reports with reference to the Juridical Department of the Azerbaijan National TV and Radio Council.
It was stated that the admission of the documents for the participation in the competition came to the end. Only ANS participated in the competition. No other TV channel submitted documents. Presently the documents are being considered, the same source said. Within the month, the Council will consider the documents and announce the results. According to the terms of the competition, the winner of the bid should appear within 6 months.
It should be mentioned that on November 24, 2006, the Council had terminated the activities of ANS due to violations in its broadcasting activities, and announced a tender for its frequency. Thereafter, the Council made a decision on restoring the broadcasting of ANS till the end of the competition.
