Azerbaijanis Have not Been Expelled from Russia in a Mass Form

The Chairman of the Moscow Department of the Russian Congress of the Azerbaijanis (RCA), Ilgar Hajiyev, informed Trend that since the beginning of January, the Azerbaijanis have not been expelled from Russia in a mass form.

He said that generally several cases have took place in Moscow is relation with Azerbaijanis. During the holidays, we were interested in the problems of 4 Azerbaijanis in Moscow. The cases of two Azerbaijanis were sent to the court, and the remaining two Azerbaijanis will voluntarily return to Azerbaijan due to the lack of the necessary documents. After they bring their documents into order, they will return to Moscow. In general, the expelling process may be realized from January 10, he said.

Hajiyev said that RCA has created headquarters in the regions of Russia to render juridical assistance to the Azerbaijanis. According to Hajiyev, booklets containing telephone numbers of the headquarters have been disseminated amongst Azerbaijanis.

The headquarters received numerous telephone calls. Hajiyev said that he has not seen facts of expelling Azerbaijanis from Russian markets.
