The members of the Executive Board of Azerbaijan Press-Council, Editor-in-Chief of 525 Newspaper, Rashad Mejid, informed Trend that the January 17 meeting of the Press Council of Azerbaijan passed an appeal to the President of the country, Ilham Aliyev.
According to him, the appeal is linked with the adoption of the State Program on the Development of the Press. The appeal reflected the questions of increasing the care about the press and present advertisements and tax privileges to the newspapers, Mejid said.
He said that the meeting is continuing.
