The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Rzayev, is on a working visit to Strasburg, Trend reports with reference to the Press-Service of the Court.
During the visit, Rzayev met with the Chairman of the European Court on Human Rights, Jane Pol Kosta and informed him on reforms conducted in the court and justice system of Azerbaijan and legislative base.
Rzayev said that the precedent rules of the European Court on Human Rights have been translated into Azeri language. The judges are selected on the base of the test system, new buildings are constructed for the Supreme Court and independence of the advocates is ensured.
Kosta highly assessed the positive changes in the court-justice system of Azerbaijan, adding that he is satisfied with the relations between the European Court on Human Rights and Supreme Court of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views and experience and discussed the bilateral relations.
