The periodical report of the Government of Azerbaijan was presented on January 23rd, at the 37th session of the UN Committee on Elimination of All Kinds of Discrimination against Woman, Trend reports quoting the State Committee for Problems of Families, Women and Children of Azerbaijan.
The 37th session of the UN Committee on Elimination of All Kinds of Discrimination against Woman takes place in New York. Azerbaijan is represented at the session by a Governmental delegation headed by the Chairwoman of the State Committee for Problems of Families, Women and Children, Hijran Huseynova.
Huseynova's report was accepted by the session participants with interest. The Head of the UN Committee expressed gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan as the delegation represented at a high level.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation plans to hold a number of meetings. The delegation will meet with the Executive Director of UN Development Fund on Women, Hoelin Hazer, Vice-President of the US Education Academy, May Rihan, Assistant Secretary of State on Education and Culture, Alien Romanovski and general Co-ordinator, Andrei Botter.
