Afshar Suleymani, the Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, said that Izatulla Zargami, the Chairman of the Iranian TV and Broadcasting Company, will arrive to Azerbaijan on February 1, Trend reports. The Iranian diplomat said that the Company unites 40 Iranian TV and broadcasting channels. Several thousand people are employed in this field in the country. It is the Iranian Supreme Leader-Ayatollah, who appoints the Chairman of the State TV and Broadcasting Company. The Iranian Ambassador said that Mr. Zargami will come by the invitation of Ali Abbasov, Azerbaijan Telecommunication and IT Minister. Meetings with representatives of the Azerbaijan TV and Broadcasting companies are expected to be held during the forthcoming visit of the Iranian official. Mr. Suleymani did not rule out that some documents might be signed within the visit. He said that the major aim of the visit of the head of the Iranian TV and Broadcasting Company is to reinforce bilateral relations, discuss a number of technical issues, including cooperation the IT production field.
