The National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan has not made a decision on the results of the competition held for the frequency of ANS TV, Trend reports referring to the Legal and License Department of the Council.
On January 31st a preliminary preparation meeting of the Council took place with regards to the competition announced for the frequency of ANS. The meeting was also attended by three representatives of ANS. The representatives of the Council and ANS expressed their opinions and arguments during the discussion. The Council stated that it needs to annul the results of the competition and announce a new one because the competition was attended by only one participant. However, the representatives of ANS asked not to prolong the competition and announce ANS as the winner of the competition. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views and no concrete decision was made.
A decision on the results of the competition will be made at the next meeting. The next meeting will be held at the end of this week or next week.
