Patient Suspected of Bird Flu Passes Away in Azerbaijan

Irrespective of treatment, an inhabitant of the village of Boyag of the Neftchala district of Azerbaijan, Zeynalova Zamina, born in 1969, who had been hospitalized at the Scientific-Research Institute of Lung Diseases on suspicion of bird flu, passed away on February 6th.

Samples of the deceased, Zeynalova, had been examined in the PZR laboratory of Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the Health Ministry of Azerbaijan. The laboratory conclusion did not confirm the presence of bird flu. The first diagnosis was dual pneumonia.

Despite this we will send these samples to the London laboratory of the World Health Organization on February 6th, the same source stated.
