The Head of the Social-Political Department of the Executive Apparat of the Azerbaijani President, Ali Hasanov, exclusively informed Trend that if enough justice and conformity of resolutions of courts with laws and their independence are ensured, the number of the appeals to the European Court on Human Rights from Azerbaijan will decrease.

He stressed that the number of the law suits made to the European Court on Human Rights from Azerbaijan does not exceed other countries. Even this number is less compared to other countries.

Hasanov said that the Government of Azerbaijan wishes that no complaints are made to the European Court on Human Rights from Azerbaijan and if complaints are made, resolutions of the Azerbaijani courts remain in effect. He added that it affects the image of other questions.

But what shall we do? Azerbaijan is located in the legal space of Europe. There are several people who do not agree with the resolutions of the Azerbaijani courts. It is their right. It is their constitutional right to appeal to the European Court on Human Rights. Therefore, we should make sure people are satisfied with the resolutions of local courts. But as a rule, winners are satisfied, but losers not, Hasanov said.
