Azerbaijan to Reduce Age of Youth

MP Akram Abdulayev has said during the today's sitting of the Permanent Commission for Social Policy of the Azerbaijani parliament (Milli Majlis) that in accordance with amendments and changes to be made to Bill On Youth, which have been recently put forward by the Azerbaijan Youth and Sports Ministry, from now on, those persons whose age are 16-30 will be considered as young ones. The previous criterion (16-35) is cancelled.

The Azerbaijan MP noted that the changes put forward to be made would be admitted and adopted. The age of youth will be reduced from the existing 35 years to 30 . However, the publicity do not apprehend it unambiguously . During discussing Bill On Youth, the determination of the age of those persons who are to be considered young turned to be into a serious debate, said the Azerbaijan MP.

Mr. Abdulayev said that another proposal connected with the foundation of public organizations of the youth, which had been also recently put forward had not been determined yet.

The Azerbaijan MP said that in addition to the above-mentioned proposals, there had been some proposals that were put forward by the Ministry, and they would be certainly adopted. All these changes and amendments to be made are intended for the protection of Azerbaijan young families.
