A pilot project on juvenile justice is expected to be put into practice in Binagadi District of Baku City of Azerbaijan on completing the trainings to be held by two Italian trainers in February, 2007, a source in UNICEF informed Trend.
The pilot project considered for three months will become the onset of the project on juvenile justice in the country. The latter will last for two years. It will be the Supervisory Body headed by the State Committee for Issues with Family, Women, and Children of the Country which will implement the project.
The project on Juvenile justice envisages making up the Juvenile Code and applying alternative punishment measures toward juvenile delinquents.
