The Head of the Moscow City Department of Russian Congress of the Azerbaijanis (RCA), Ilgar Hajiyev, informed Trend that the immigrants who were involved in trade in Moscow are to be called back because the new law on migration adopted by Russia is not applied in Moscow.

He stressed that taking into consideration numerous appeals of the community and entrepreneurs of Russia, as well as the difficulties faced by the population, the Mayor of Moscow, Yuri Lujkov and Minister of Economic Development, German Greph, made a decision on creating an opportunity for the immigrants to be engaged in trade. According to Hajiyev, Azerbaijanis form 4% of all immigrants. Most of the immigrants are Chinese.

In addition, the decision aims at preventing the immediate increase of prices. Hajiyev said that four headquarters have been created in Moscow to help Azerbaijanis bring their documents into order. According to him, Azerbaijanis did not leave Moscow on mass.
