Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / Events under title of "Days of Azerbaijan" will take place in Komi Republic of Russian Federation in the second half of 2007.
The visit of the delegation headed by the Consular General of Azerbaijan to Saint-Petersburg, Gudsi Osmanov, to Komi has concluded, the key goal of which was to resolve the problems of the Azerbaijanis residing in this region, from Azerbaijani diaspora, and to develop bilateral relations between Azerbaijan . During the visit, Komi. Osmanov met with the Head of Komi Republic, V.Torlopov and Interior Minister of Komi, V.Silaev as well as the Head of the Federal Migration Service, V.Maksimov.
During the meeting, a proposal was made to hold 'Days of Azerbaijan ' in Komi. During the meeting, Torlopov stressed that the Azerbaijanis residing in Komi follow the local law. In addition, he approved the formation of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Komi.
