Azerbaijan , Baku / corr . S.Babayeva / Azerbaijan and Georgia will hold work on cleaning the water of Kur river. According to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, Huseyn Bagirov, during the negotiations with the Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, David Tkeshelashvili, the sides reached an agreement on carrying out joint measures on preventing the pollution of the waters of the rivers. David Tkeshelashvili said that the Georgian side has defined the key polluted rivers and they have enterprises. "Agreements have been concluded with them to resolve the issue," the Minister said.
"Presently it is impossible to forecast any results of the work, but I consider that the decision made by us is already positive beginning in the direction of preventing the pollution," the Minister concluded.
