Trend S.Agayeva / The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, Abulfaz Garayev, said at the meeting with the workers of the Azerbaijani museums that the valuable exhibits of culture and art of Azerbaijan should be presented to the world public under their own names, but not as exhibits of culture of other countries. The Minister expressed his perplexity with the museum work in Azerbaijan. According to him, many large museums work in hard conditions and the exhibits are kept in inappropriate condition. The Minister highlighted the necessity to improve the activities of the museums on the base of the order of Azerbaijan President regarding development of museum work. Garayev said that according to the order of the President, it is planned to reconstruct big museums of the County and construct new Museum of Carpet and Istiglal Museum ( Independence). In addition, the Minister said that the reconstruction and improvement of the material and technical base of the remaining museums of Azerbaijan will be carried our gradually. Garayev called on the heads of the museums to prepare and present to the Ministry their proposals concerning the improvement of museum work. The Minister called as significant the preparation of album of exhibits.
