Chairman of Anti-Torture Committee Met Former Minister for Health

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr K. Zarbaliyeva / Elchin Behbudov, the Chairman of the Anti-Torture Committee met with the former Minister for Health, Ali Insanov, in the prison cell at the Ministry of National Defence. Behbudov informed that the former Minister did not express any dissatisfaction with his living conditions or treatment.

Insanov made a complaint that the trial was held in a preconceived manner. He noted that during the legal proceedings, he was not allowed to meet his attorneys. Insanov reported that he does not go on a hunger-strike in the cell, he went on a huger-strike during the legal process in protest the fact that he was not allowed to meet the attorneys. The former Minister complained of back pain, blood pressure, and diabetes mellitus.

Behbudov met with Said Dadashbeyly on the same day who was accused of killing his family. Dadashbeyly had no complains with the living conditions. He said that he did not plead guilty and was detained without evidence.
