Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. S. Ilhamgizi/ Talyat Aliyev, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Ukraine, has said that due to the explosion which occurred in the Cafe "Dinamo" in the Ukrainian Resort City of Yalta, the Azerbaijani Embassy to Ukraine is currently verifying the information, whether Azerbaijanis actually were injured as a result of this blast.
He noted that the Azerbaijani Embassy had received information that Azerbaijanis had been amongst those injured. In response, representatives of the Azerbaijani diplomatic office in Kiev arrived atthe scene. According to the Azerbaijani Ambassador, adequate and accurate information concerning the incident today will appear only later tonight.
Notably, yesterday, on 1 April, 2007, due to the negligence and violation of the operating rules and safety measures, a gas tank in the cafe "Dinamo" in one of the bazaars of Yalta City exploded, resulting in a fire. Five Azerbaijani citizens, three Turkish and five Ukrainians are reported amongst the casualties.
